Sexual health
This section provides information and advice on several aspects of sexual well-being.
Sexual health encompasses a range of considerations, extending beyond the absence of diseases and dysfunctions; it involves physical, mental and social well-being in relation to sexuality. Sexual health demands a positive and respectful approach to sexuality and sexual relationships; all sexual experiences should be safe and pleasurable, free from coercion and violence.
For sexual health to be fully realized the sexual rights of all persons involved must be respected and protected. There are a number of conditions that can affect our sexual health and irresponsible sexual behaviour can result in undesirable consequences that include unwanted pregnancies and sexually transmitted infections (STIs).
