The Gibraltar Health Authority invites applications from suitably qualified persons for the post of Occupational Therapist – Senior II Grade. Applicants must, by virtue of their citizenship or residence status, be entitled to take up employment in Gibraltar and who are, or on employment will be resident in Gibraltar.

 

Gibraltar is a British Overseas Territory at the southernmost tip of the Iberian Peninsula, easily reached in just over 2 hours (flying time) from London, Bristol or Manchester airports. English is the official main language with Spanish widely spoken.

 

Non-EU nationals should note that a Schengen Visa is required in order to be able to transit through Europe. This is obtained from the applicant’s place of residence. Please note that Schengen Visas cannot be obtained through Gibraltar.

 

The successful candidate must have a minimum of two years’ experience working as an Occupational Therapist within an adult physical, community or hospital setting. Experience with the assessment and provision of wheelchairs and supportive seating is desirable.

 

Applicants must be in possession of:

 

  • A Degree or Diploma in Occupational Therapy and be registered with the Health and Care Professions Council.

The post is offered on a two year fixed term contract and carries the following salary scale: £33,408, £34,327, £35,457, £36,834, £38,229, £39,614, £40,955, £42,295, £43,639.

 

Return economy class airfares from the UK are payable in full. A rented accommodation allowance is payable solely whilst on a fixed term contract and upon submission of an official rental agreement and a Gibraltar Civilian Registration card.
