The Gibraltar Health Authority invites applications from suitably qualified persons for the post of Paramedic. Applicants must, by virtue of their citizenship or residence status, be entitled to take up employment in Gibraltar, and who are, or on employment will be, resident in Gibraltar.
This is an exciting opportunity to join a developing Paramedic Team in the Gibraltar Ambulance Service. We wish to recruit highly motivated individuals who can function well under pressure and be responsible for the delivery of high quality care in the critical, urgent and non-emergency settings, respond to calls as part of a double-manned ambulance crewed with an Ambulance Care Attendant or Ambulance Technician, or from a Paramedic Response Vehicle (after an appropriate period and training)
Gibraltar is a British Overseas Territory at the southernmost tip of the Iberian Peninsula, easily reached in just over 2 hours (flying time) from London, Bristol or Manchester airports. English is the official main language with Spanish widely spoken.
EU nationals should note that a Schengen Visa is required in order to be able to transit through Europe. This is obtained from the applicant’s place of residence. Please note that Schengen Visas cannot be obtained through Gibraltar
Applicants must be in possession of:
A Degree in Paramedic Science
Registered with HCPC
A Minimum of 3 Years Frontline ambulance experience post NQP Programme
The post is permanent and carries the following salary scale: £35,457, £36,834, £38,229
